Sleeping In - Not as Good as I Remember It

I slept in today. I woke up around 8:45 this morning. I remember when that was waking up early for me. Now I tend to wake up anywhere between 6:30 - 7:30. When I sleep in I wake up around 8. Well here I am having slept until 8:45 and now my neck hurts and I have a headache. What the heck? I thought sleeping in meant you woke up feeling awesome? Oh well Once I get moving I am sure I will start to feel much better and boy do I need to get moving. I need to get my house back in order - the kids version of clean and mine are two totally different things. So let's get right to today's nails so I can go give my house a good scrub down.

I decided to try some nail art. I did the fishnet nails with black tips. I still need to practice this one some more. Once the manicure was done, I thought they went great with my favorite red shoes. I love these shoes. I still remember seeing them at the store and thinking, "Wow those are frigging smokin'!" immediately followed by the thought "Are those ho shoes?". But needless to say I got them anyway. And believe it or not, If I am wearing a stuffy outfit to work, I throw these on. The look isn't so intense when they are on the ground. I know you can barely see my nails in this picture, but CHECK OUT THOSE SHOES!!! (I have had them for years, but they are a brand called Michael and I got them at Braodway Shoes. I think they were $50.)

My youngest daughter loves the shoes too and had to get in on the action. How cute is she?

Here is a close up of the nails. I need to work on making my lines thinner. I was trying to make the lines a bit wavy so they had a true fishnet stocking look. I will have to try this again. I like the look, it just needs a bit more work. I used the Art polish you can find at Sally's for the silver glitter and a black nail art pen for the black lines and tips. I should have used black polish for the tips since it chipped like crazy by the time I woke up the next day.
