Another Week Has Begun

I swear the older I get, the faster the weekends go by. Well I guess time in general is going by a lot faster. I can't believe how busy I feel all the time, even when it seems I am doing nothing. Yesterday was my youngest daughter's birthday - she turned 11. No more babies in my house. It is so strange, I can't believe how big my girls are getting. I remember thinking "I can't wait until I don't have to buy formula or diapers anymore." Then it became, "I can't wait until I don't have to pay for daycare anymore." Now I am thinking, I will take all that back because two pre-teens and one teenager is WAY more expensive than any of that other stuff ever was! When your 11 year old child asks for an iPad for her birthday, you realize how much our world has changed!

We spent the day yesterday at a good friends house swimming in her pool. I went to her house to check out her renovated kitchen and do her nails, and of course the second she said bring the kids so they can swim, it became a day long event. Which meant my laundry did not get done, nor did my house get cleaned. Which really it isn't bad, but still, I had stuff I wanted to do this weekend and didn't do. I should have and could have done all that when we got home, but I decided to work on my updates to my blog site. Well let me just tell you, I should have stuck to the cleaning and laundry! I tried switching it over and it became a few hours of hell. I wanted to cry, and ended up with a headache. And nothing got done in the house that Juan didn't do, which only makes me feel guilty because he is doing everything in the house, while I sit there doing what looks like nothing. So for now - we are back to my old site and I will continue working on my updates and changes to my awesome new and improved blog that I will hopefully have in the near future. But tonight I will have to put all that aside and get some stuff done around the house, including laundry!!!

Today's NOTD is Essie Demure Vixen. I can't believe I held off on buying anything from the summer collection for so long. I really loved Pretty Edgy and I REALLY love Demure Vixen. But then again I have a thing for nudes. The hidden shimmer in this one just makes it so great. Again the down side to an Essie polish is that I needed 3 coats to get this opaque. I thought for sure it would bubble. So far so good though. This one leans from a true nude to a purple toned nude depending on the light and the shimmer is pretty visable, which I like.

I hope you all have a great week!

  2. I've been holding out on getting any of Essie's summer collection, too...I'm beginning to think I'll give in though. :)

  3. Pretty! I'm still debating about this one. The hidden shimmer is so pretty, but at the same time, it's still a nude and I'm not all that in to nudes. However, I am kinda drooling over Pretty Edgy!

  4. @shiny I think you are going to love it!

@Zara get some of this collection. I grabbed the mini's and love all 4 colors!

@Megan you will love Pretty Edgy. I love Demure Vixen, but I think if you are not a nude fan, you still won't be after this one since it is still a nude. But Pretty Edgy is a cool green!
