On the nail side of things, I went to Sally's last night because I ran out of polish remover. My local Sally's never get's any new collections in, so imagine how surprised I was to see the China Glaze Vintage Vixen collection. Not only did they have several of each color, All the China Glaze Polishes were on sale for $4.99 and buy 2 get 1 free. That means each polish came to $3.33 each. Not to shabby when they are normally $6.99 at Sally's. So if you have a Sally's near you, go check them out and grab yourself some China Glaze Polishes at a great price. I was pretty good, I only grabbed three. Of course that means I am left contemplating going and grabbing some others, but I am trying to be good, so no encouragement there please.
Tuesday night I put on Ingrid. I really liked this one in the bottle. It is a dark taupe/brown with gold shimmer throughout it. It seems this is a big thing in polishes for Fall. But when I put this one on, I was not so impressed. I am still wearing it. It is weird I like it and I don't all at the same time. I just don't think this one works well with my tan/olive skin tone. It looks a little poopy on me. I think this one would probably look amazing on someone with fair skin, but it just isn't for me.
Gorgeous isn't it? It looks so pretty with all that shimmer. It looks lighter outside too. This is why I haven't taken it off yet. It keeps distracting me when I am outside. Below is a picture in the shade. You can still see some shimmer, but it is a bit darker looking. Inside I can't even see the shimmer and I lose all my desire to keep this one on. Formula wise it was great though. It applied smoothly and only needed two coats for complete coverage. I think that not every color is for every person and this one just isn't my shade, but it's still a beautiful color.
I wanted to throw in an extra photo today. This was taken from the car when we were driving through Savannah, GA on our way home on Sunday. It was absolutely breathtaking. I wanted to share that breathtaking view with all of you. Isn't it amazing?
