Some Potential Marketing Photo Ideas

My friend let us take some pictures of her for potential marketing photos for Cult Nails. My other friend is a budding photographer and it just so happens to be one of John's hobbies as well. As you know we took some pictures over the last week, so I thought I would give you a sneak peak at some of the pictures. We still have some editing to do so you can see the polish a bit better and fix some other things up a bit. She is wearing Living Water in these pics.

This is a very poorly edited pic by me. Hey it was my first try at editing a photo! Cut me some slack. But it's the idea I am going after. What do you think? We are most likely going to retake this so I can position her hands a little differently.

This idea came from my photographer neighbor. WOW! This is a cool photo! That's her husband's back in the pic. I couldn't believe they let us take this pic! Do I have the best neighbors or what? This is definitely going to be a marketing pic! Still needs some editing, but what do you think?

So this lead me to thinking, would you take some pictures that could potentially be used for the marketing purposes of Cult Nails? I thought this could be a cool contest to have. But how would I do this contest with limited budget? I was thinking of opening it up for people to submit pics of themselves (or someone else) wearing Cult Nails in a way that would fit the brand. If chosen, then you (or your model) would be part of an international polish campaign. The pictures would be sent via PR emails, PR on the web and PR packs to magazines and salons. They would also be featured on the Cult Nails website with model/photo credits.  Let me know your thoughts on this one or how you think something like this could work!

  5. I like the second one more...it has a vampy dark vibe to it that is really cool and Living Water looks good with the contrast of the tattoo on her husbands back... I think for the first one it would have a better effect if she was wearing a different color polish maybe Iconic.. the blue of her eyes really jump in the picture and to me it distracts me from Living Water (b/c i cant see the glitter detail)..

for the contest I think start off with having people send in pics/ ideas and then once you decide you like that idea then have them implement it with the cult nails polish.. (b/c i think not everyone has cult nails polish.. >.< im still saving up to buy em myself) I think if you have the interested people email their ideas or something to you and by a certain date you'd give them a respond on whether you want to move forward with their idea or not that way you can use your budget only on the ideas you want to move forward with or enhance...

wow sorry for the long post >.<

  7. I like the second one better, with the first one the focus is all on her eyes and not the polish.

  8. @kelliegonzoI agree - it is a good start. I need to figure it out soon though, we have an amazing marketing opportunity and I am going to need to get my marketing figured out soon! I may have to put a contest on hold as a result. :(

  13. @Cali369I think once we do the real edit job the first one will be good. We want to change her eye color to match living water and then make sure the nails really showcase the color. Let's see if it works.
