Final 4th of July Manicure Option?

My nails are half done right now on one hand and nude on the other. I started my 4th of July manicure and HATE it, so I am going to start over. I have one more subtle manicure for you. I think I am going to end up with something like this. When we were making Living Water, the lab sent us some colors to use to franken with. This is one of the blues they sent. So pretty on it's own! I used the blue and then a silver polish and since I forgot to take a picture of it, I forget which silver, but any silver will do. I did not top it with Orly Twilight, I accidentally took the picture with that instead of the silver. Sorry about that! I used the star design on BundleMonster plate 21. Can you tell which one I used - it's so scratched up now! I have an old license, I wonder if I should use that instead of the scraper to prevent scratching like this in the plate. I imagine that will ruin the quality of the image transfer.

Anywho - I did the design only on one nail. Now that my nails are shorter, I am going to go back to this manicure. I like how subtle it is. And it will stand out great against the red shorts I plan on wearing today. I think I might add Orly Twilight over the top now!

Today is the last day of our 4th of July sale by the way! I have to say I am getting a little nervous, the sales have been unbelievable! I had no idea it would be so big! It is so very exciting to see so many people wanting our brand, but I feel a little ill prepared since two colors sold out! WOW! I will have to call the lab tomorrow to see if we can increase our order for the Fall 2011 collection. If this sale is any indication on future sales, we will definitely need more!

Hope you all have a great 4th of July!

  1. I use small plastic cards (like the ones you put on a key ring) to scrape my plates, and it works very well. I love that blue, it's gorgeous, and the stars look great on it.

  2. You need to carry that blue! It is amazingly pretty on its own! Love your 4th mani too of course ;-)

  3. I use nylon scrapers from Pampered Chef. They are intended to use to scrape food gunk off their stoneware pans, but they work great for stamping and don't scratch the plates at all. They're also larger than the Konad scrapers so you can get a better grip on them and control them better.

  4. That blue is so pretty!!! It reminds me of one of my favorite blues, Revlon Midnight Magic. Except yours is prettier because it's not as dark!
