Black & White Outfit of the Day

Keeping with the Black and White theme from yesterday, I figured why not show a black and white outfit I wore recently. I found these shorts at American Eagle, a store I don't frequent often here because their customer service is less than adequate in my opinion. But I saw someone post that they found these shorts there and I have been looking for some shorts like these, so I made the trip. Needless to say the Customer Service was again lacking, but I did buy a few pieces on sale for my daughter and myself. So in the end it made up for it.

Top: Marshall's last year, cute option here.
Shoes: Marshall's years ago, but here is a totally cute option on DSW.com and at a great price!

Can you believe I'm accessory free? I just didn't feel the need with this outfit. That doesn't happen often either!

Look at my puppies in the background watching me take pictures. LOL!

I'm super tall, like Alice in Wonderland! My head almost reaches the ceiling light! LOL!

I'm loving this lacy shorts/skirts trend and think these can go from casual to dressy perfectly. What do you think of this trend?

    1. It was definitely a night out! I can't wait to try this in a more casual look for the day time! I think I went from ballet to heels, so when I wear flats, that's when I'm falling! LOL!

    1. Why thank you! At 5'3" (barely) the heels help make them look longer. But my longer legs means a shorter torso. :( LOL! But really, I can't complain! Hope you're doing good! Haven't talked to you in a while!

  4. I love this on you! Your legs look fantastic...totally envious. It's obvious that you put in the hard work to take care of yourself- you should be proud! I don't think I've worn shorts in 10yrs, due to my lack of hard work :/

    1. I started working out again about 6 months ago and in the last month I am starting to see results. Before that I was on a brief 7 year break from working out consistently. LOL Hey it's never too late to get back on track, right?

    2. That's how I started! First I walked a few nights a week and then I added Pilates one night a week and now I try to go 5 days a week. I would love to bump it to 6, I'm just not there yet.

  5. *Jim Carrey voice* Smooooooookin'! Are you and Tina Turner related by "legs?" LOL The outfit is nice too. I agree that the outfit could easily transform from day to night out...accessories would definitely give it an evening looks. Brains and beauty too. Glad to have me you. I'm. So. Loving. My. Cult. Giveaways. From. Saturday! Bless you!

  6. You look amazing in that outfit! I'm 5'1 and I can't believe you're only 5'3, you look so tall! I always look short. LOL

Also you forgot to remind everyone to vote for you in the Brad contest! I remembered. ;) How long is the voting period?

    1. I can't believe I forgot to remind everyone! Darn it - thanks for reminding me! The heels definitely help make me look taller, well that and the attitude! LOL! Whenever I would wear flats to work, everyone would tell me I look way less intimidating and cute. Yup - that's why I put the heels on! LOL!

    1. Aw thank you! I think this look might be pretty universal, but those shorts are definitely shorter than I expected!

  8. Love the outfit, the shoes are so cute! And I thought you were taller than me! I'm just under 5'4.

    1. Nope - I am just under 5'3. I usually have on at least 4 inch heels though. If they have a platform they are probably more like 5 inch heels. I always tower over my friends in pictures because of the heels. My be sties are all just about 5' and they wear heels just as high, but I have 3 inches on them! LOL!

  9. WOW! Stunning as always, but you rock those shorts like nobody's business. The leg tat looks sex-ay! Your pedi looks good, too...I am assuming it's Devious Nature or the "bad" Devious Nature?

    1. Thank you! I love that tattoo! That's my Dragon "pinup". That's what I like to call it! LOL! I am wearing Devious Nature! I need to redo it though - it's been about 3 weeks now.
