I couldn't wait to wear it so I wore it with a white T-shirt. YUCK! OK well not yuck exactly, but the t-shirt is too big and the skirt it too big, so I ended up with a bohemian feel which just does not go with who I am. I need to get some smaller white t-shirts. I'm hoping next weekend when I'm in Orlando I can pick up a few. But in order to give the skirt the feel that looks right for me, I think I definitely need to get it taken in.
Here is how I envision wearing the skirt. I think it will look a bit better a bit higher on my waist and a pair of nude wedges. I like the idea of wearing it with color like an orange or yellow top. I'm not sure that I would be brave enough to do so though. I like the idea of a striped t-shirt the way Curvy Girl Chic wore hers. But I don't envision wearing it with a jacket since the weather here is already warming up. I think it will look good with the shirt tucked in and a belt around the waist to keep the look a bit more pulled together, which is the way I tend to feel most comfortable. I want to make sure I have a few different ways to wear it so it doesn't look like I am wearing the same outfit over and over again. I can't wait to try the skirt again with some different options! But first I need to make a trip to the seamstress!
So what do you think about the pink maxi skirt? Would you wear such a bright skirt? What would you pair it with?
