Cult Nails sets up at The Makeup Show!!

So you have been hearing me talk about attending The Makeup Show as a blogger and how excited I am, but there has been a HUGE change of events! As you know I had the opportunity to meet Celebrity Makeup Artist, James Vincent and he loves what Cult Nails stands for! So much so he helped me secure a booth at the absolute final hour so that we can showcase our products at The Makeup Show! OMG talk about a whirlwind! I am super nervous! I am so thankful to James for his encouragement and help!

Have you ever been to a trade show before? The elaborate booths and signage? I have NONE of that! I have a table cloth and a tabletop sign. That's it! I have no idea where we will be located, or that anyone will stop by such an unassuming booth, so it has me completely nervous because if I don't sell a few hundred bottles, I end up losing money in this venture. And let me tell you with our business size, that is extremely nerve wracking! But I could not pass up the opportunity to let more people know about Cult Nails and what an amazing community we are on top of being one of the best nail polish brands out there!

I am so super excited/nervous everything! So I will be busy packing up polishes and working on inventory and coming up with an amazing price for our polishes. The Makeup Show is for insiders in the fashion and beauty industry, so it will be great to gain some exposure in that area! The pricing is typically 30 - 60% off for products at The Makeup Show. I think we will only be able to swing a 30% discount, but that is still $7 a bottle!

Another upside, the Beauty Bloggers of Central Florida have stepped up to the plate and have offered to help work our booth by talking to people about our polishes! So I want to give a special shout out to those who have signed up to help already, because these women have just completely amazed me with their generosity and willingness to give up their personal time to help me out! You can't even begin to understand how good that feels. I am so overwhelmed by their kindness! So please check out these lovely ladies if you don't already follow them, so you can fall in love with them too! Brianna from Brikasia, Kimberly from Libby's Pink Vanity, Courtney from Phyrra, Steph from Imperfectly Painted, Alyssa from Pretty Little Bottles, and Brittany from Clumps of Mascara. There may be a few blogger additions as well, so I will keep you all posted.
My table top sign. The polish featured on our sign is Seduction! It took about 4 bottles of seduction to take a large high quality image to use for marketing materials!

In case you forgot, you can attend The Makeup Show just because you follow my blog! Even if you are not a beauty insider! So if you are in the Orlando, FL area and want to come to the show and take advantage of the amazing sales, meet the founders of amazing companies, or even come by and get a steal of a deal on Cult Nails polishes, buy a ticket for the show and select "other" for how you heard of the show and then put the name Cult Nails follower for your credentials and you are in! The show costs $35 for one day or $50 to go both days if you purchase them online! Get your tickets here! As an added bonus, anyone who attends and puts any of the Beauty Bloggers that are attending the show (like me!) you get entered to win a beauty bag full of fun beauty items from the brands attending the show! WAHOO!

If you swing by our booth, you will have the opportunity to meet some of the amazing bloggers listed above! If there is a particular blogger you would like to meet, just let me know, so I can tell you when they will be at our booth once we have a final list available. Also if you do come and swing by our booth, please let me know, I would love to get pictures with any Culties I get to meet.  I get so excited meeting everyone, I know it might sound corny, but for me meeting you guys is like meeting a celeb, because you guys have changed my life and I owe it all to you. I love having the pics on my office wall, so I can see them everyday. And I don't know what it is, but meeting in person is so different, I end up usually becoming friends with many of the people I meet, and I love that! So OK that sounds totally corny, but I'm kind of corny like that. LOL!

  4. Omg, Maria this is AWESOME NEWS!!! Congratulations!!!!!! I can't wait to see your booth! I've actually got a Cult Nails mani planned for tonight for the next two days (it involves making cheetah nail design for the Neanderthal Ball at the Orlando Sciences Center tomorrow night!), and I'm going to wear them even prouder now! Seriously so happy for the success you've had since you've begun your journey with Cult Nails :) I am also looking forward to meeting all the other bloggers I haven't met yet!!!

  5. This is so exciting! Maria, you and Juan deserve this break. You've worked so hard on this and you really do have a quality product. I'm so happy I've had the privilege to watch it unfold from the beginning. You're such an inspiration to me. Go Woman! Go! Rock that Show! If I lived in FL, I'd help too! So very happy for you. What about getting some large color photos printed of some of those bloggers reviews at FedEx Office to put up in the booth? (The bloggers may still have the hi-res files you'd need for larger pictures). Might be too costly to do very many, but a few of the really mainstream colors and a couple of the dramatic ones should do it! Hoping you have a most excellent show! Can't wait to hear about it next week.

    1. You really have been there since the beginning. I think we first "met" on MUA before Cult Nails was even a thought on the horizon! It seems so long ago!

  6. How exciting! Congratulations!
I've done many trade shows (not for cosmetics, haha), and if that is your set-up, girl, you are fine! Back in the beginning, before I upgraded our stuff, I attended with less! I've attended with nothing, actually (booth didn't make it in shipment)!
Although it would be nice to have the booth that you want, you're really there for the exposure to the market. You have an excellent product, so I bet you're going to make your money back, but even if you somehow didn't, you still gained exposure to consumers you may not have otherwise.
I hope in a few years you'll look back on this event as "the beginning" and will be attending then with your dream set-up! Good luck! The Culties are excited to hear about it!
Oh, and P.S. - be mindful of your shoe choice that day, as you may be standing a lot! I still struggle with this, because I want to look nice & wear heels, but it can get rough! Usually I compromise by wearing comfier shoes walking to & from the venue. I am also lucky that my company allows chairs in the booth. Some don't. How crazy is that? Good thing you're the boss! ;)
Also, be caffeinated. :) You're going to be talking to people all day long!

  9. Congratulations! I'm sure that everything will turn out wonderful. Your polish truly speaks for itself and can't imagine anyone walking past a table of your beauties and passing them up! No need for fancy advertising! Can't wait to hear the outcome and look forward to hearing all about it! Best of luck!
