Now that you know how much is going on, you will forgive my brain lapse on May's collection. Or at least I hope so! We originally planned on releasing the May collection towards the middle of the month like we normally do. But then John pointed out the release day is the date our parents are due in town for our daughter's HS graduation. You may or may not know that Cult Nails is a small family run business. John tens to work in the evenings, while I run everything during the day. We hire help as we need it, but nothing permanent just yet. When pre-sales come around, I am usually worked 12-14 hour days for those two weeks prepping everything and then getting orders out. Believe me when I say it is a labor of love, because I wouldn't trade it for the world! But we would like to take some time off with our family when they are here, and the only way to do that is to start May's pre-sale now! As a result, there will be no extra goodie with this month's pre-sale as our item fell threw. But I have a few ideas I'm tossing around and will announce with the official press release. Right now I have a lot of work to do and then as soon as it's done, I will start the swatching fun of this collection. In the meantime, here's a preview of the polishes that will be available effective Friday, May 8th at 12:00AM EST.
|Radiance, Thrive & Alluring|
Thrive - A subtley textured mint pastel green, with our now famous Cult Nails shimmer. I just can't commit to a fully textured look, so this one has a bit of a satin finish with a soft texture finish. One coat of Wicked Fast changes that. I'll be swatching this a bit later today, but in the meantime, here is a look on a nail wheel. The one on the top has Wicked Fast on top and the one on the bottom doesn't.
Radiance is one I have created last year and love. It is a bit darker in person that the pictures seem to show. I've been wearing this for a few days now. I never want to take it off! These are my kind of colors!
Way back when Cult Nails first started, Alluring was supposed to be Cruisin' Nude. I just didn't feel it was nude enough, so we opted to set this one aside. This year, I have been going through some of these colors we created over 4 years ago and bring them out. I keep getting asked for more work appropriate colors and I am going to try to comply. This is a mauve leaning neutral with the most subtle green shimmer. Inside the shimmer is not really noticeable, outside it comes out of hiding.
